This was an invite-only underground at a warehouse location in the Mission. It was limited to about 600 people, supposedly. It seemed like even less, since the venue wasn't huge, but it was fucking PACKED in there, so who knows. Cash bar rocked all night with strong, cold drinks and 2-for-5 beers. Crowd was good - some ppl you see all the time in the scene, some hipsterish looking ppl, some pretty girls, diverse, excellent ratio (might have even been more girls than guys).

I missed Dials, but got there just in time to see Shlohmo zombiefy the crowd with a sticky half-time slumper of a remix of "this is how we do it". He played a lot of dope hip hop n wonky, as expected.

Ana Sia played next and did the only thing she knows how to do: fucking wreck shit. The girl is consistent. I don't know if she ever tailors her set to the crowd on the fly or just rocks what she planned to rock, but it was a perfect fit last night. I was standing on some wooden platform/stage thing, surrounded by my girl and some random girls in lingerie dancing and remembered why I love Ana Sia so much: she plays what the ladies wanna dance to, which equals a dope party every single time.

Lazer Sword rocked after Ana Sia. It was nice seein that nothing's changed (I hadn't seen them play since Lando moved to NY), as they still had the ill communication and chemistry between them. They started off the night w/ the Hugg n Pepp 40-water joint, which left me wondering how it could possibly get any better, but they keep bangin em out. Expected levels of energy and definitely were speakin that banguage to the crowd.

French producer Fulgeance fucking murrrrrdered it!!!! People were so smashed that they probably just thought he was DJing, but he was banging drums and playing midi through the whole set. It was fucking fire and many a producer/performer could learn a thing or two from him! I'd never seen him perform before, but I'm a BIG fan now.

My recollection of the night from this point forward gets a little hazy. I went home to grab my mics and computer so I could interview Lazer Sword for Glitch.fm. We did the interview in my girl's car, outside the warehouse, in the rain at like 3:30. It's pretty much the best interview ever as we're all drunk as fuck and they kept it super real.

When I went back in Bogl was killin em with dubstep, the place was sardine crowded and the extremely strong drinks were doing their job.

Great party overall and shouts to Soundpieces for making it happen!

Stay tuned for that Lazer Sword interview on Glitch.fm (Glitch.fm/savage_future). I think I'm gonna try to catch some of the other artists that are in town and get them for yall as well!
