I've got hella work to do, but had to write something about Priceless real quick, so here goes:

This year's Priceless was a solid party with some great music. Planning and execution were excellent and I love the fact that they don't seem to be trying to grow this festival -- It even seemed like there may have been *fewer* people than last summer. The small size and intimate vibe are part of what make this my favorite party every year.

I did notice that Priceless seemed to take a slightly different direction this year than in the last few years, with more of a focus on "musicality" over "crunkness."

By "musicality" I mean there seemed to be more live instrumentation and a greater variety of sounds. That was awesome, and I heard a ton of dope music this year that didn't exactly fit into the mold I was expecting. On the other hand, there were definitely some people in our crew who didn't dance as much this year as they normally would have, since they mainly came to hear the really nasty dancefloor-oriented crunk shit, and that style was primarily relegated to Saturday night, with much of the rest of the festival offering a wider, less predictable variety of music.

That's not a bad thing, though. I mean we all know what we like, but we also count on this party to introduce to some new fly shit every year, and some of the best music I heard this year was not "crunk" by any stretch of the imagination... but I was all dope and I'm glad I got a chance to be hear it.

Some of my favorite sets were: Russ Liquid, ill.gates, dov, an-ten-nae, freddy todd, lynx, ill-esha, shen, dr toast & R/D.

Food vending from Awesome Sauce was delicious. Security was great - I don't think I saw a single cop the entire time!

Overall another great weekend of awesome music and awesome people. Hats off to FP and everybody involved in making this party so dope!
