***TIMOTHY WISDOM

Every weekend droves of culturally conscious hipsters, post-ravers, neo-hippies and social activists pack into some inconspicuous underground venue. They want to experience the intensity of bass-heavy anthems and dance together in a newly thriving cultural collective. At the forefront of this movement is Timothy Wisdom - the most sought-after powerhouse behind Vancouver's exploding intentional dan...ce community. Timothy's sets literally lift audiences off their feet, arousing ecstatic screams from the crowd in a relentless stream of perpetual sonic mayhem. Combining the tricks of turntablism and MCing, with productions that cross multiple music styles, this DJ really puts the punch into his art form.

Starting in 1991, at the age of 13, Timothy bought his first set of turntables. He produced live hiphop tapes and began unleashing the skills that would later propel him across the nation, through countless musical strands and into the ears, hearts and minds of thousands. From Newfoundland to BC, Florida to California, Timothy has performed for some of today's largest festivals, including the Vancouver International Folk Festival, Shambhala, and the infamous Burning Man Festival. His music unifies, intensifies, uplifts and penetrates the senses. His show boldly sets a new standard in performance DJing.

Timothy is a scientist of sound. In 2001 he invented the world's first digital force-feedback turntable - D'Groove. An engineer on the decks and on the mic, Timothy fuses crazy scratching, instant remixes and his hilarious antics into a performance that can be summed up with a single word: FUN! And just when you thought the party couldn't get any better, Timothy Wisdom will get the place roaring.

***BEVVY SWIFT

started playing guitar and writing hip hop beats (which were too "electronic sounding" for most mc's i knew... a bit of foreshadowing for ya) in high school, and was djing breakbeats and drum&bass at local raves as soon as i graduated.

three years later, longtime friend and dj partner the mongoose (then known as dj global) and i decided the half-time dnb/glitch hop we had been tinkering with on ...my old PC was ready to be unleashed on the unsuspecting city of vancouver. teamed up with new friends jmej and application, we threw our first glitch hop show, and performed as "glitchy & scratchy".

three more years, two western canadian tours, two shambhala sets, and a whole whack of good times later, glitchy & scratchy are still in demand all over north america; one day we'll get our ish together and do a real tour. :)

while as a duo we rock out pretty hard, if you catch me solo, you may hear things varying from swedish minimal funk to deep rolling dubstep, as well as all sorts of genre bending shuffley stuff.

head-nodders always appeased.
the dance always considered.

***VESPERS (Live)

Having a background as an acoustic musician has helped Vespers to explore and understand the recording, DJing and live performance aspects of Live. His experience includes 7 years of classical piano, 21 years of saxophone, and 11 years of DJing. His knowledge of the program that extends beyond just the studio has been an asset for Vespers. He uses Looper to integrate saxophone and Akai EWI wind synth overdubs into his live performances and uses sampling extensively to create innovative banks of sounds triggered via MIDI during shows. He is a creative innovator, constantly pushing the envelope of what is possible with a fusion of technology and live instruments.
