Vertigo: a live electronics journey

Date: Sat. 5 Februari 2011
Time: 21:00 -02:00
Venue: TAC, Eindhoven (NL)
costs: €3,-

Vertigo is a new initiative of the Adapter collective.
A number of different experimental electronic live acts are linked to an equal number of video artists. This will result in a one-off joint audio/video performance which will be unique to that particular night.

LIVE:

Kettel (Sending Orbs, Planet-Mu, Djak-Up-Bitch)
Kettel is a self-described “elixir-brewing, camping-loving and musicmaking sorcerer-to-be.”
He is well-known for his playful, spontaneous melodies and organic folk sounds similar to Aphex Twin, Jega, and Plaid.

Ruistuin (Adapter Records)
Ruistuin is an experimental audio project focussing on IDM, circuitbent electronica and ambient. The project started while experimenting with a heavily modified Casio SK-5 (sampling keyboard). A few analog synths and fx are used to create a moving wall of sound.

MuRas (Adapter Records)
The sound of Adapter member MuRas is described by himself as “cinematic-like soundscapes with beats.”

DJ´s:

Pete Concrete (Eat Concrete Records)
DJ/producer/label-owner with a broad taste for all sorts of electronics. Started DJ-ing at the age of fourteen, initially greatly inspired by early Detroit techno, acidhouse, hiphop and the Manchester scene. Soon got involved in organising parties, started the influential Mononom collective with his friends and founded the Mononom label on which he released his first tracks.

WhoEst(live)
WhoEst(live) is a collaboration of DJ Eterno, DJ EvenGer & King Mobe. The unexpected record choices of the WhoEst deejays and weird digital remixes of Mobe will surprise any audience, sometimes leaving them positively amused and at other times having to endure digital overdrives, howling and screaming riffs, and conflicting rhythms, all of which are balancing on the edges of ambient grooves and ‘disco’ beats.
