Ritual has proudly become an icon in the Bay Area dubstep scene. With their humble beginnings in a tiny bar, they eventually expanded to the famous Temple Nightclub in San Francisco with hundreds of dancing people joining them every Thursday. These crazy party kids managed to create the biggest reoccurring dubstep event in the entire Bay Area and are showing no signs of slowing down as they expand their party into Los angeles in 2012. Ritual has had legendary performers grace the DJ booth as well as given many new comers the chance to shine and share their gift. Their lineups include a wide range of dubstep sounds and they strive to maintain diversity. Whether you like the deep and dark sounds, the face melting filth, or hip hop and reggae inspired dubstep, you are sure to find what you are looking for at their shows.

This is an experience that is fueled by you, and is made strong by the love and respect for each other, life, music and dance. The Ritual family is one that is ever growing and the Irie Cartel guys make everyone feel welcome, whether you are a newbie, or a long time die hard. This event is fun and warm because the people embrace each other's creativity and treat each other as brothers and sisters. If you have never been to one of their events, feel free to make yourself at home and introduce yourself to the crew, and a few strangers.

Samples (aka Ben Samples), also known for his work in the live remix project Fresh2Death, is a Producer and DJ based out of Denver, CO. He creates and performs electronic dance music, including bass-heavy remixes of club and hip hop favorites, original glitch hop, soulful dub step, funky house or amalgamations of other styles.

On the turntables or tweaking a live P.A., Searchl1te lays out monster bass weight and teeth-rattling percussion. Irreverent of genre but observant of vibes, he brings the substep, sarcopha-beats, yard techno, scandalbass and tech:freek biz. His tunes are loaded with his own field recordings, samplings from a nerdy collection of vinyl, analog grit cranked out of piles of old studio gear, and collabs with the underground’s tuffest lyricists and musicians.

Searchl1te’s music resides in the space between genres, where they can be heard clanging and blending together…like the cacophony of a street market…or two cars next to each other at a stoplight with their windows down, each blasting different music. Searchl1te has traveled extensively with this sound, bombing beats in Buenos Aires, NYC, San Fran, Vegas, Chicago and all points between.

The founder of Part Time Sucker Radio, Searchl1te (a.k.a. Kee – BassByThePound Crew) has been doing non-commercial radio with WNUR 89.3 FM in Chicago for over a decade. He’s also held down long-running shows on www.Dubstep.Fm, www.Destroyer.net and www.Dnbradio.com.

Psy Fi has been making a name for himself in the northern California electronic music scene since his introduction to electronic music in 2007. Taught in Classical and modern guitar theory from a young age, Psy Fi aka Miles ross played in a variety of punk and hardcore groups through high school before attending his first electronic music event in 2006. This event changed the way that he viewed music, culture and the web that connects us all together. Growing up in the Grass Valley/Nevada City area around fellow djs and producers such as Mr Rogers, Zapper, Cyntel and others allowed for a diverse mix of exposures to many different styles and sounds. Having dj'ed practically every style of electronic music from Psy trance to Dubstep has allowed for a very solid appreciation and understanding of multiple styles and multiple ways of performing live. In 2007 he moved to Arcata, CA to begin college at humboldt state. While in the dorms, he introduced the population to a sound that was just starting to take off. A sound that we now call dubstep. After several small shows and house parties he became aquanted with Deep Groove Society, A crew in humboldt that has been throwing electronic music events since the early 2000's. It was through this crew that Psy Fi started to gain a reputation for slaying danceloors relentlessly. In 2011 Psy Fi went on tour with fellow producer Mr Rogers, Ratchet and MC Wink. in support of Mr Rogers recently debuted album, LICKING CRYSTALS. Playing dozens of shows from San Diego to Boston and performing at festivals such as SXSW created a national network of friends and family and opened his eyes to the US edm scene.
He has held residencies at practically every nightclub in the area and is currently booking and promoting one of humboldts most popular weekly events, Whomp Whomp Wednesday held at Nocturnum Nightclub in Eureka,CA. Stay posted for upcoming releases and tours.

Event is at Temple Nightclub (540 Howard St.) in San Francisco every Thursday for the 21+ crowd. Admission is 5 dollars, or free if you are in line before 10pm. We rock from 10pm to 3am. There are no ins and outs.

Artists of any medium are welcome to set up in the destiny lounge downstairs and create during the evening. We have a handful of painters, and artists of various mediums, that bless us every week. Anyone is invited to set up and share their gift with others.

After every Ritual, the Irie Cartel will be making a small donation to the Bay Area chapter of the American Red Cross. The money will go towards the next local disaster similar to the San Bruno explosion, or any upcoming earthquake. Backpacks must checked into Coat Check. There are pat downs at the entrance that are targeting weapons, alcohol and items used for graffiti. There will be a machine outside that scans ID's.
