basically. they send it out to a bunch of people to use and find bugs in it. it's more like an almost-finished full version. :)

looks awesome. have too much workflow invested in ableton ATM tho. won't stop me from giving it a shot though. makes me wonder why the developers from ableton left to make something so seemingly similar.... is ableton conjuring up something weird with live 9?

The thing that really looks sick is the collaboration aspect. If they can figure out how to get multiple computers to sync one session proper so that multiple people can arrange things at a time.... that would be the shiiiiit.

hell yea. thats also what i was hinting at in my previous post about the mixtape thing.. someone on fb mentioned the collab thing and the notion of bitwig LAN party jam sessions. i was like, WORD! I must try out this new software.

I am kinda stoked about the superimposed editing thing, would make for a bit more coherence writing melodies and harmonies over different instruments
