Sup guys,

There's something I've noticed about a lot of DnB tracks, but I've never really sought out an answer. So basically. Many DnB tracks have a VIP version, which is slightly different to the original, almost like a remix I guess, but instead it's VIP. I've not noticed this with any other genres and was wondering if anybody knows what it means?

VIP = variation in production, basically an alternate version

the VIP version is so artist dont play out the same version as was sold on wax.. keep it fresh

Some artists also only give the VIP version of their tracks to only a few DJs, close friends, radio stations, etc. in an effort to give it an aura of exclusivity and hype it up a little more. Hence, "Very Important Person" version.
