I came across this song recently while searching different forums for info on production. when the discussion of the whole "wonky style" and what it was came about. there was someone who i guess wasnt convinced that this style was too innovative and posted this track saying that it sounds like this but glitched out or with unquantized beats.

Now im not concerned with what he said but i thought that the track was a cool since it really does kind of have a modern glitch hop sound. Minus the glitches though. But like the people said in the thread, add an unquantized beat or glitched out vocals and you got glitch hop =D

Original Concept - Knowledge Me - [Def Jam] - 1985

Too many people connect Glitchhop with basic wave synths....
I'd rather say it sounds like 8bit, and some people like to connect it with glitchy sounds. But... Glitchhop is WAY more than this....

Analog Worms Attack converted my too :)
I think cats like Slugabed, NastyNasty, GLK, FlyLo, are the future of that sound, just my opinion

Some classic 90s ish tho:

DJ KRUSH (try to find his dj mix CODE 4109 or the album Kakusei)

DJ Vadim - anything of his really..he gets soulful but his old shit is especially gritty and rough

DJ Shadow - more ish with mos def

EL-P - (company flow and owner of now defunct def jux)
He produced the whole Cannibal OX album, as well as tons of his own ish, and other labelmates
