So most Glitch Hop type tracks that i hear tend to have hi-fi production values, Crisp drum beats, Clear basslines and an overall clean sound.

That said are their any artist that push a Lo-Fi Glitch Hop type sound?

Im talking like Wu-Tang 36 Chambers but glitched out =D

Figgy's tracks have a sort of dusty-but-bangin' air about them, mostly in the drums... http://figgymusic.com/Music.html

lo-fi means Low Fidelity. It comes from low quality audio, and since we are all using computers and maybe "some" hardware none of us are producing lo-fi tunes at this point in our lives, lo-fi isnt the word you are after I wouldn't think..
not to sound like a complete douche bag but it sounds like you just need to listen to more music, cos there is a shit ton of this style out there..
listen to some mixes by slugabed,starkey,eprom,hudmo,flylo... wait yea ... just go with the hudmo and flylo, if it ends with an O give it a shot ;)

thanks for the suggestions guys! :fire:

i didnt really know Flying Lotus was considered to be glitch hop, i always thought he was thrown into that "wonky Hip Hop" style.

That madlib remix is dope though

Im feeling that Darkhouse Family

Basically im looking for stuff that has these qualities but im interested in glitchy vocal/sample use within the track.

the song Tip Hop from tipper is sort of what im talking about but its not really too lo-fi sounding.

oh shit.

Darkhouse Family - Mein Atari (Dibiase Lo-Fi Reflip) = Win exactly what im thinking of

No Fakin have some sort of low fi wobble stuff. Its got a "old skool funk" quality to the production.

Also An-ten-nae I think does thins kinds of things... Herrmutt Lobby.. Even Kraddy sometimes sounds pretty heavy, especially new song Freak Show, it is somewhere here on forum.

that album basically converted me to glitch hop (though nobody was calling it that back then)

^^^^

nice, makes me interested to hear more of the older cats that were pushing this bass heavy electronic hip hop vibe back in the 90s.

Anyone got some recommendations?

i know of things like

Prodigy - Diesel Power - 1997
Prodigy - Poison - 1994
FreQ Nasty - Boomin Back Atcha - 1997
Bomb The Bass - Bug Powder Dust (Chemical Brothers Remix) - 1995

what else should i check out?
