My family has a tradition, it's called Christmas. A couple years ago we decided that it was a good time to do a book exchange, or buy books as our gifts to one another. This year I decided that I am getting everyone Kindles.

The challenge now is putting content on them. What are you fine folks reading these days, or, what would you recommend? I am open to any and all suggestions.

I saw a newspaper article while getting my coffee this morning that there is a new compilation of Hunter S Thompson's work for Rolling Stone Magazine called, 'Fear and Loathing at Rolling Stone'.. Seeing that I have read pretty much every word of his in existence, this is next on my list.

edit.. I had the wrong title of the book.

I would strongly recommend a supernatural police thriller by Sarah Pinborough The Dog-Faced Gods Trilogy. Two first books have been already published, the third one comes out in winter. This is the best detective / mystery story I've read in ages.

A Matter of Blood

and

The Shadow of the Soul

Last few things I’ve read from Amazon

Ground Control: Fear and happiness in the twenty-first-century city

Capitalist Realism: Is There No Alternative?

The Assault on Liberty: What Went Wrong with Rights

Macrowikinomics: Rebooting Business and the World

How Markets Fail: The Logic of Economic Calamities

Would probably recommend ground control the most.

Being the dullard I am I don’t really get on with fiction. If anyone is reading stuff on the same tip id also love a few recommendations.
