First of all i would like to thank everyone who submitted a track. We got an overwhelming 41 entries, which makes me extremely happy that there are so many talented people on this board! I would also like to thank the judges, i do realize that 41 tracks was quite a lot to go through, and listen to subjectively without holding any bias, especially because the styles of music varied so heavily across all the tracks.

Most likely you skipped right past that first paragraph and started reading below this line.

First Place - Tshabee - Fuck Fears
Second Place - Cualli - Pharaohphobia
Third Place - Ricorb - Aviophobia

Runners Up:
Bevvy Swift - Quantizophobia
kLL smith - a journey through time and bass
Atomic Reactor - the universe at your finger tips
[moos] - Knokkelkoorts
tantric decks & monk-key - Trap And Release
spoken bird - Beloved

Honorable Mention (in alphabetical order, they all had equal number of points):
chris sick - I fear nothing
paradigm theorem - alone in the dark
saba - save for last
self evident - fierce fears
vudutron ft. dj freemoney - wiccaphobia

Dewey's Picks for the Woofer Cookers Release (should the artists agree):
Tshabee - Fuck Fears
Cualli - Pharaohphobia
Ricorb - Aviophobia
Bevvy Swift - Quantizophobia
kLL smith - a journey through time and bass
Figgy - Automysophobia
Sugarpill - Genrephobia
Plus 2 - Eosophobia
[moos] - Knokkelkoorts
tantric decks & monk-key - Trap And Release
vudutron ft. dj freemoney - wiccaphobia

You may notice some differences between what i picked for the Woofer Cookers release, and what the judges results are. I did this based on the fact that I felt many of the judges overlooked the importance of the theme when judging. I feel strongly that the release should have a theme as all of our releases have had a theme in the past. You'll notice that all of my picks are of tracks that stuck closely to the theme of the contest.

The winners and Woofer Cookers candidates will be contact via e-mail later today.

Nobody was disqualified. I'm sorry that you didn't make it to the list, no hard feelings intended, there were a lot of entries, and it was very difficult to select the tracks that we did. To be honest the judges pretty much completely disagreed with each other, the results were all over the map, with lots of people getting just one vote.

I wonder if perhaps we need a different judging model for our next contest, i am open to suggestions.

I see it as a good thing that the judging process was hard.

Shows that you had a good varied panel of judges and not some biassed group of ppl who will pick any particular sound instantly over all the other talent.

Agreed, no hard feelings. I actually do like this judging process, though It was nice to see the points like in the past one.

I thought my entry could have been disqualified for using some samples that could sound like they werent uncleared, but they were cause I got them from that public domain webpage...

Congrats to all the winners!!!

For one we did, we set up a shared google doc that had a few columns to rate each track in different areas on a scale of 1-10 in each category. The categories were then totaled for each judge, then averaged between them all. I guess you could just make a grand total as well instead of an average between the judges. Either way, some clearly stood out, you could tell which were the judges favorites, and which weren't, but also how they saw each track in those categories. I think having a few areas to rate on seemed to work out well for us.

Big ups to all the winners, runner ups, and honorable mentions! I heard a lot of smokin tunes come out of this contest. I can't wait to hear that release. :D

Awesome! Finally some results, wooohoooo. Congrats to the winners indeed. And thank you, Dewey, for making this happen. Me thinks it got a lot of us working , or ehm maybe jsut me, harr harr. But yeah, was nice to have something to work towards this time. Got me pushing my own envelope a bit at least.

even though i didnt win or anything, i enjoyed the fuck out of this contest. I say "MORE CONTESTS," if possible :)

they are fun, and they organize the uh... (to sound really nerdy for a second) they organize the glitch-hop-community under a single purpose.. thats good for new musical scenes like this one..

I never dreamed glitch hop would have so many followers, back when I single-handedly invented it on September 12, 2001, as a way to move this country forward after the horrors of 911.. So, uh, you're welcome..
