i, for one, am sick of how clean all the music in the world seems to be these days. i think if the music itself is good, that's what'll make you stand out now. go for it.

what do you mean specifically? The mastering of it? or... the sound/structure of how everything goes together? cuz as far as the structure, i dont think every song needs a drop, but that might not be what you're talkin bout...?
i thought the production was alright... definitely up to par i dont know.. im usually not going for like.. a really clean, pasticy sound much of the time. tbh i'd rather the production be closer to gritty lo fi hip hop then super-clean technoey stuff. u know? i know theres a lot of middle ground, but thats just the direction i tend to lean.. but i def want it to sound upto a certain standard, not pure-lo-fi.. and with all that in mind, idont know why i shouldnt make something a little "out of the box" or whatever.. you know wwhat im saying?
