But Its really hard for me to actually finish a song because of the samples i use are shitty to me. So my other question is, what techniques do you use find your samples/sounds.

learn about synthesis. get a good grip on how filters work/sound. learn what fx do and what each part of them does (especially delay fx.) most sounds (even drum sounds) can be made with a little synth magic.
