I've been hearing this sound a lot more lately.. Especially love the stuff where they mix the dutch bass into it.

Was wondering if there's any good glitch-hop moombah shit anywhere? Is it harder to mix the two? I'm very new to moombah. I know Ill Gates has a new album and the word moombah was in the thread but i havent heard much of his new one yet.I need to go and check that out. In the meantime, any help is appreciated!! :troll:

I've seen this moombathon thing around. Might even have a track or two including the word moombahton on me harddrives. But I say like the horse from Ren and Stimpy.

That being said, I did a search on my drives. I was wrong. Only had one track. Didn't even have the full word moombathon in it. For shame. But just fer you, here it is.

hey yall..
Moombah has the Dutch bass due to the fact that Moombahton/Moombahcore/moombahsoul comes from A time when Dave Nada slowed down his Dutch House tracks and played a whole set at 108 bpms, it's basically Dutch house at 108-110, same song structure.

here is another Free Crush Moombah track and a mix from DEVi
free d/l here http://www.bwompbeats.com/music/~tate/2 ... 0Remix.mp3

Right on.. thanks for the info man. Very interesting. Didn't realize it came from Dutch House!

I love how people breed new forms of dance music by slowing down other forms of dance... even tho that's probably an over simplification.... but yea, interesting shit..

from what i've heard think it was dave nada slowing down afrojacks remix of a track called moonbah to reggaeton speed (108bpm) and the two names were joined to make moonbahton.

Everybody knows timbaland didnt mix moombahton with glitch hop in 06..

it was 05 !! .. in 06 he was busy creating dubstep. which he also created in 2001, in homage to the heroes of 911.. EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT!!!!!!!!!! :gusta:

I hear he's going to invent skwunc soon. Cuz that needs to be invented if it's going to 'take over' the us and uk in 6 years. Come on Timbah!

I heard Timbaland actually ghostwrites all of Bassnectar's tracks.

But really though, I dig the moombahton. Some good producers are Neki Stranac, Tigorilla, Dillon Francis, etc. And that ill.Gates moombahton track is dope! Definitely more involved and intricate than most of it. Some good half tempo/full tempo switches. I really like to mix moombah into some bouncy funky midtempo glitch. People really dig it when it you drop into four to the floor for a bit.

that track is Dutch House, the snare/clap arrangement, and the bass make the style of house music known as Dutch House.

Yes it was that tune by Afrojack a Remix ... Silvio Ecomo & Chuckie - Moombah (Afrojack Remix)

Lots of Moombathon is utter, cheesy shit, but ... there are some fine exceptions. Chong-X and his Torritos EP is a prime example. My favorite tune of this EP Clavelito Blanco is great for morning cofee  Free Download!

I agree completely with this statement. Something about that shakirastep just isn't vibin with me. However, I have heard some really good tunes that don't have that dutch house sound and lean more towards what you might hear from glitch hop or dubstep. Those tunes appealed to me more. I guess they are calling that Moombahcore? That would definitely be something that would sound good in a midtempo/glitch hop set.
