i dont know about the club/bars too much i never had any money when i was there, but the music scene is one of the best, i would check the local entertainment websites.. more strip bars per capita than any US city, lol

Voodoo donuts are the shit for reals. I was in portland in June and stayed in a house downtown near this place http://www.mcmenamins.com/BlueMoon for a friends bachelor party and wedding, we got shitty wasted at all the pubs around there. Was a damn good time, lots places in walking distance to party.

Seconded on Voodoo, its a must stop. Konekta pretty much covered most of the rest of it, although if you can make it during open hours, hit either BrunchBox or Big Ass Sandwiches (unless you're veggie) food carts OMG so good. Good food and good beer abound, here's hoping the weather holds for you for the weekend (currrently 55 and sunny in PDX)
