Have any of you gone to school for sound design?

Would you say it was worth it?

Any recommendations on schools in the west?

I did not go to school particularly for sound design, but I did take classes on studio engineering and live sound in college. They definitely helped give me a better understanding of EQ, Compression, recording techniques and how things work in a live environment when I got started writing music.

APRA is really promising, if you're in Calgary, they teach everything you need to know. Make an appointment for interview with Lanny.
