So basically a friend and I are maturing in our abilities to manipulate and mix bass music... but we want an audience!!!

We have a sick house to have LOTS of guests.. and want to charge 2 bucks to build a PA..

We are gonna suck it up and buy a decent sub to get things started (go with the shit old yamaha monitors my dad has for his various cover bands lol)

So i'm wondering if anyone has any other inticing ideas to help people feel there money was well spent!!

Like for starters is the JBL EON 18" a good sub for a smallish size house?

I got the Eon and it works. I can't say if it's the best out there but GC credit got it for me. So I cant complain.

My suggestion...

Make the party free and get a keg. $5 a cup will make you far more than $3 at the door, and its still a "free" party. Thats how we used to do it back in the day, we always made our keg money back and more...

KCMO has a bit of a scene... we packed some club downtown (forgot the name) when I played Kablammo III (dubstep). Maybe find a small venue and see what you can make happen with a bit of promo, sounds like you have enough sound for a small spot... just a thought.

Theres a local EDM forum for KCMO too, although I forget the name of it... something like sydeshow.com I think... might help for promotion and making some connections.
