I've seen a couple people saying this forum feels "dead", so I want to know - what is everyone doing??? I know a lot of you log in cause I see your names on the bottom of the forum, and I know how to check last login times on the userlist. So feel free to post what you're up to in the general sense - it can be what you're doing at this very moment or what you've been working on the last 5 years - all good. Or don't respond!!! It's all the same

Personally, I am just screwin around trying to make some new sounds. Just released an album. Trying to put all my stuff on YouTube. Working my day job like there is no tomorrow. Ballin', shot callin'.

I've just been trying to get my hustle on financially and stack some cash, so i continue this submersion in the cave that is the studio. I have a full length album coming out on Vermin Street semi soon, so I pretty hyped on that. Even got some remixes from some of my favorite producers. Just been trying to pick up gigs and work my way up the ladder.

Production! I've been working a lot on production lately. Got my first official release coming out on a compilation on Vermin Street in a bit. Tryin to finish tracks for an EP

Also, in November, I got my leg crushed between two cars after a gig (wrong place, wrong time!), and shattered my tibia and fibula. Got a 7 inch metal plate and 11 screws holding the bits together. With any luck, I get to start walking soon! So healing from that has caused me watch way more movies than I ever wanted, and of course work on my production techniques a lot.

ive got a Nas remix that has been eating my lunch for 2 weeks! wubwubhop

then last nite a started a fresh dub/dubstep and got it 90% done in 3 hours!

funny how that shit works...

supposed to do a tripglitchopdubstep ep for housefly records this spring, we'll see if i can get 5-6 tracks together that resemble eachother, lol im all over the map

Pretty much leveled off at about 1000 visitors a day for the last two years. Hasn't really gotten much busier or any less busy for that matter. Personally, i like it this way. If this forum jumped up to 20,000 visits a day it would be full of so much crap, ala dubstepforum.

just my 2 cents.

edit: what am i doing? building websites mostly. started my own company and said goodbye to the man about a year ago. It's been a tough go at first, but finally things are starting to come around and I'm making good coin, and spending less time pulling out my hair in frustration/stress. Now i just need to find some time to update my OWN websites. Shhhhiiiiiiiiiiieeeet.

Just relocated, looking for work and trying to beat the winter blues. I am starting to think that although I share the same sentiment about things seeming slow, it may just be my outlook..

Anyway, apart from trying to make the most of my unemployment time, I am trying to manifest more in my life and looking forward to the spring..

here's a rough answer to that question. searched for posting.php witihin analytics. it's not totally accurate as i have never actually setup a funnel or events to track it, but it does show that it is pretty sporadic. So it would really be hard to conclude much from it, if you actually applied some math to calculate the standard deviation away from the mean you would get a huge standard deviation.

One thing to note is that the forum definitely gets a shitload more traffic of visitors than actual posters (1.71% according to this)

edit: 1.71% was bad math. that was against pageviews, not visits. which has about a 6.5:1 ratio, so you could say it's more like a visitor posts %11 of the time they visit.

Well.. I for one have this as my homepage.. And I don't always check it when I load up firefox.. Probably 25% of the time.. Just to skew your numbers a little more..

nah, just mad lurkers on the internet. we get tons of visitors from posts that rank well in google for strange topics. those users are generally just there to get what they want and leave. be it an mp3, or information, or a tutorial. They never intended on posting, so they most likely wont, unless something really catches their attention enough to care enough to register. I bet if I had some sort of spam proof comment system that didn't require registration you would see a lot more posts. Problem is without the registration system the board would be 100% spam.

Dude, I think the forum is pretty great as it is! I mean, more info flowing wouldn't hurt, but I come and go on here, for sure, so I can't blame people for not posting all the time. Anywho ... it's great. Love it

I'm in Whitehorse, Yukon Territories... Came up here to make some real money for a while.. The winter is cold, but it's not too bad.. I've only been here a month, and spent the month before that in Costa Rica, so it was a good balance.. It's not dark all day, but you don't see much sun, and dark by 6pm. The average temperature right now is -30 or so.. But the 20+ hours of sunlight in the summer and the fact that the place itself is pretty badass, makes it all worth it.

I moved to Bangkok 4 days ago, the last few months have been all about setting that up so i have gone quiet on the production front. However I am here now so will be (when I find a place) getting back on it.
