Skweee?? What the fuck is Skweee??

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skwee

There are a variety of Skwee sets in the mixes forum. My personal fav:

glitch-hop-mix/let-skweeedom-ring-mixed-stickem-t2841.html?hilit=ring

Jesus. I can't wait for the age when the music is divided by the number of hats and kicks in it. Don't tell me this couldn't be counted to electro or glitchhop or experimental or whatever. Geeez.. I hate it when someone has to give his music some special new title to make it special, instead of letting his music speak for itself.

Says the guy with "Glitchstep" in his sig.... j/k

It could be considered any of those things... but glitchhop could be considered IDM and experimental, and dubstep could be considered breaks, dnb could be considered breaks or hip hop... all EDM has similarities and shared ancestory.

I didnt name it, and I do feel that there is a difference between Skweee, Glitch Hop and Experimental, but really just to classify and clarify when speaking about it. Its all just music to me...

I call it Glitchhop or Glitchstep, it's matter of mood :D

Glitchhop could not be considered IDM since Audiovoid produces :) Dubstep as breaks? I don't see any resemblance.. but I don't know much about breaks either. Oh, you mean breakbeat, now I got it, sorry. DnB could be considered breakbeat too, but those styles has strong base of listeners, and thus it should be known under different title. But Skweee man? I think every new style should have their time in Experimental, and after they prove they are worth special title, it should be given.

And there is great difference between glitch sounds and Experimental sounds. Acid for example has it's own sound too. Skweee is just mix of 3 different styles.

But, while listening, I don't care about style neither. Just when I heard that title, I felt like wanting to discuss it.

I started with dnb about 8-9 years ago then added glitch/dubstep to my sets.
