Surprised me, but I couldn't find a thread for sharing custom ableton device presets. Either standard ones or just ones you like.

Dewey, if you read this could you be kind enough as to allow upload of .adg and .adv files?

I'll start this shizz out.

Audio Effect Rack:
Standard NY Compression http://www.dissentingmedia.com/NY%20comp.adg

Beat repeats:
64th note glitcher http://www.dissentingmedia.com/64th%20note%20slowmindfuckerater.adv
8th note glitcher http://www.dissentingmedia.com/8th%20killer.adv

Here are two more I've become pretty fond of recently...

1 - Haas.adg - Haas Effect audio effect rack - for adding perceived loudness without adding much to the freq spectrum.
http://dissentingmedia.com/Haas.adg

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haas_effect

2. Haas Panner.adg - this Haas rack also has an EQ that you can use to make it have the Haas effect and also sound spatially panned. Really good if you want to bring something out and make it sound like it exists in a 3d space...
http://dissentingmedia.com/Haas%20Panner.adg

I use these on some of my more recent tracks. See soundcloud linked in sig.

Thanks for the heads up. Try it now, I reuploaded just the haas .adg files (linked in the post above). Let me know if it still doesn't work for you, I think the earlier problem was the zipping maybe, I think win7 did some funky stuff to my zip files.

nice ones e'rybody. just as a note, i purposely made all of those controlled by a single macro so you can throw em all together in an audio rack :)

I request this be made a sticky, could result in quite a collection of cool racks.

Here are my effects. This has two of them. One being a "water" riser that bubbles up and the second was my 4 main Dj effects for years.

Hope you enjoy them.

hello bass fiends. attached is some racks i use all the time. they are as is:

+verb bass eq -

cuts below 30hz, notches at 250hz a bit, shelfs upwards of 4khz... samples turned me on to this eq setup and it helps clear out mud so vastly!

+verb panner 03 -

already mentioned before, but haas effect rack here using simple delay. i use it on so much shit it is redonk. ppl often ask at shows how i get such clarity. use this bitch. play with settings of 1-15ms. watch for nasty comb filtering, and also phase issues. but this is some next level biz. if you are not using haas during mixdowns, you suck.

+verb split bass boom -

older rack of mine that just uses multiband dynamics to split frequencies, chorus to fatten, compression to enlarge, phaser to wiggle the tops, haas to add width up high, i think that is it... makes bass wet and sexy. slap it on ya bass-g. ;p

+verb make sexy bass -

**this rack requires izotope trash. it splits the bass, and uses trash on mids and high end if i remember correctly. adds shine and grit to bass groups.

get ya wiggle on. <3 to all.

cheers.

+verb

OK, since you guys have been so damn cool I suppose I will. This thing is pretty baller for making all kinds of synths. I have the first 1024 loaded into an 8 chain rack with selectors for each sample bank. Unfortunately I didnt plan ahead and put 127 samples and a blank selector on each one, so you have to manually power each one on and off as desired. No big deal really since its mainly being fiddled with in the sound design process I figure. Enjoy this, it has been my lil 'secret weapon' for understanding additive synthesis.

And please, angryrancor, feel free to play with it as if you were a Catholic priest and it were a choir boy.

****NOTE: It would be worth it to slap a tuner on the channel and adjust the root for each waveform you plan to use if you want things to be in key. As it stands I have it set at C3 but it seems most of them are actually a D. I do it on a case by case basis, sometimes the odd tune is cool***

Thanks to all who posted.... These are Sick!
I wish I had more to offer but here is a little thing I've come to like...
It's an Impulse with Chord & Flam on it (made to use in a drum rack). I use it mainly for snares and claps but it can be used for any kind of hit. It's designed to have 6 drums hit at once or delay the hits... I used the impulse cause I have alot of fun with stretching the samples... anyway play with it add your own samples, I hope you enjoy

@ angryrancor that housey lead pretty fun when ya bust out some chords.

Remember yesterday seeing someone talking about the M/S EQing in the EQ 8, so thought I'd chuck this up i use it for spreading leads/basses to get a bigger sound. has some basic controls macro'd to give ya an idea on what to do but just mess with the rest to taste.

http://www.mediafire.com/?fpi21adl8au327a

Also tried to attach the file straight to the post like others do on here any help on how to do this?

word up. it's fun with an arp too. basically the same synth used in every pop "hip hop" track, lul. drop a generic beat under it... now you can produce for lady gaga LOL

You gotta click the "Full Editor" button. There's an attach file section on that page.

Awesome thread

Here's a project file with a cool glitchy drum kit that I found and modified (tons of options to morph the sound) as well as a cool technique to use the Simpler to stretch and morph samples:

Thanks for this conversation and some rad presets. Made me collect some more Ableton Presets and posted them on my site for free.

Loving all the rad ones here... Thanks everyone and glad that this is a sticky now.
