I have most of the keyboard shortcuts in Ableton downpat but I'm wondering if there is a way via keyboard to do the following.

I have an audio clip that I want to insert warp markers into. Basically I just want to insert markers through out the clip at 1/4 or 1/8th note intervals (eg a lead line might have notes at varying lengths but nothing smaller than an 1/8th).

I set the grid to be fixed to an 1/8th note and I just want to be able to cursor key through the clip and insert markers (Ctrl+i ...yes I'm a PC) where I need them... the problem is that once you insert the first marker, cursor keys now move that marker around the fixed grid. You can unselect that marker but now I can't cursor through the clip at 1/8th note intervals... I have to then click the mouse again and I can once more scroll which makes the keyboard cursors pretty redundant but the prob with the mouse is that you can click 'off the grid' and end up putting a marker in slightly off..

Any ideas?

I tried it, and you are right.

My advice is to post this in the albeton support forums.

It's possible to duplicate warp markers: make a marker, make one 1/8th note later. Click the first one, then hold shift and click the second. Hitting Ctrl+D should (I haven't tried this lately but I'm 99% sure I've done it in the past) add either one or two more markers. That should make the process somewhat easier, I think?
