Googlewave would probably work out well for this. I'm down to get in on this idea, always love getting some solid constructive feedback.

dropbox may be a useful medium for sharing the tracks as opposed to soundcloud.

does dropbox stream audio, too?

if not i would suggest http://www.divshare.com since it´s for filestoring &audio streaming with good quality (better than soundcloud)- it also has an embeded player code ect.

cheerz

yeah, you can stream audio as long as you have quicktime. I'd recommend dropbox as it's ad free and you can control what is seen.

Ya dropbox is a good option. I use that from time-to-time as well.

so it looks like we have some steam going for this project. i need to log into my google wave account and check out how many invites i have, if any. anyone who is interested in doing a google wave AND dropbox producers forum, get at me via PM (providing your wave details if you are already on the wave). i still think this soundcloud thing could work too, so im going to let both ride for now.

So I've got 12 Invites for wave. In order to get them, whoever wants one is going to have to PM me with a message telling me your email.

As for dropbox, you can get it here: https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTQ3MzE3MTQ5

If we're going to keep this legitimate, we can't publicly announce the name of the wave itself. So somebody should be moderating the people allowed to enter the wave. Otherwise some asshole will just come in and start taking our music.

apparently i have never invited anyone... i have 25 left. haha.

so i will make the wave and if people are wanting in remember that before you jump on the bandwagon, you must participate. the soul purpose of this isnt to get unheard tunes, it is to help each other grow. but we already know this so.... pm me ya wave addresses.

i will keep the soundcloud group open for those who want to use it as well. if i see it dying out i may kill it. it can only be as strong as the members in it, remember that. i think both can be an awesome tool.

i will be sharing more of what i know knowledge wise with others via the wave, and hope others can too. GROWTH GROWTH GROWTH.

compact, if you want to help moderate i think it would be awesome. it can be something we all do a bit too... just notice who is in the wave and who is not participating and mssg me via wave and i can zap them from our wave.

with all that said, i am excited for this. immensely! this can only be a good thing.

you have to be added to the wave by one of the participating members.

deleted the soundcloud group. turned out useless. moderating like 10 tracks a day and never having peeps participate.

damn i was really stoked on this idea. i cant really say that i was too big of a help, i was pretty active at first but then kinda dropped after the wave. seems like the group kinda died after this idea. i really dont wanna give up on this, cuz there is so much potential.

maybe we could do something like set an open online meeting where everyone is present? i dunno, i'm fresh out of ideas right now.

private subforum would be best i think, espcially now that we can upload tracks here.

plus its one less website to check out as opposed to the wave/soundcloud thing.
