I'm too damn lazy to install another demo and read any more manuals right now, but I'm interested to know if anyone is using either the Waldorf Largo synth or the Fxpansion Dcam Synth Squad. If so, what do you think? Pro's, con's, anything super worthy about them?

I've always like the nasty Waldorf digital wavetable sounds from their hardware, and supposedly Largo is like the Microwave and Blofeld.

I've heard lots of good things about the Dcam Synth Squad sound, too. Anyone here using these?

I use synth squad. Its a cpu slut but ultimately its worth it, the sounds you get out of it are HUGE and I give it props for keeping the interface very simple and quick to use without sacrificing functionality. Highly recommended.

also, have you looked into u-he's ACE? Its dirt cheap and right up there with the synth squad sound quality and super fun to mess around with to get interesting sounds

Thanks, Man. Everytime I hear about Synth Squad, the word "huge" is used. That's a good sign.

Ah, ACE...how did I overlook that (I love me some Uhbik)? Plus, I could use something modular-like in my arsenal.

Which one of the Synth Squad synths do you like most? I'm gonna demo both of these...

they all have their place, its really apples and oranges. I mean one is a subtractive synth, another is an fm/subtractive hybrid, and another is a string synth. you cant buy them separate anyway so you might as well demo them all.

I love me some synth squad but truth be told I use ACE more often. there's just something about it...
