EQ3 on the master mapped to knobs, 2 channels (A and B), map the crossfader. No headphones, eyeball the warp. No set list. I could do more, but I play for hours and dig on the transitions. Sometimes I play stuff I haven't even listened to yet.
It keeps things fresh.

If it isn't working I bring the volume down and rerub a previous selection if I can't grab a new one fast enough.

I have Torq as well in which case I use headphones. I am referring to strictly DJing a party for love of the music here, not an original or remix set.

I set the EQ crossover at 70hz and around 10k. Part of the fun is playing with the EQ. I don't need a limiter because I don't overdrive the master. Crank up the mains to a healthy level and then don't over do it. Bring the levels back down periodically.

'Keep it goin' louder, louder, louder...'

Personally I used PlatinumNotes to set my entire library to -12.5dB (and repair clipped peaks), so now I can just do the fine-tuning on the go
