I know this isn't a question to do with glitch but its been 2 days now and I still havn't gotten any thing useful on the ABLETON forum........ I just need help with my live setup.

I'm new to ableton, I use Logic 9.
I'm going to start playing shows in a band I just joined and I want to find out how to go about setting up my session the best.
mostly I'll be triggering clips (if I can get them automatically triggering that would be awesome) and playing omnisphere.
The whole band is going to go straight into my laptop and I'll send to our own sweet monitors were are just about to get.We need the whole thing to be locked to a tempo track i can send to our drummer also with changes and everything.
The sound guy is just getting one stereo mix of us for the house system, but our system is going to be pretty loud so getting a good mix would be important to.
Lastly I want to to figure out how to control fx for each inst separately using artillery 2 (2 guitars, bass and vox). I know how to use artillery I just want to switch between the different tracks, or put one on each track and switch between them.

So far All I have is an Axiom 49 1st gen and the guys are giving me a small mixer I'll find out what kind and post it later. I'm open to controller suggestions if its difficult to do this with just one Axiom.

The first ep with me on it will be completely out soon and its only gonna get crazier and more synthetic in the future. Think electronic windup with metal drop and tones of other stuff like that. We do all our own Mixing and mastering.

I am no expert, but I feel like you will need a seriously rockin audio interface to achieve all of this without serious lag.

Uh.... yeah I mean basically what you're saying is you want a bunch of tracks with input

and then i'm guessing a "tempo track" is gonna be some metronome sound or kick drum playing with a separate out channel set on it for your drummer...

so yeah like bleep bloop said it's really gonna be some basic shit to rig it up in ableton, you really just need to get a audio interface with a bunch of inputs and outputs, and it will help if you have a solid state drive in your computer and its pretty much top of the line. But I mean doing multiple tracks of live audio through Ableton is not really something I have ever seen it do without lag which is rough... so good luck.

If you can stand recording out to something other than Ableton for your friends I recommend that. Or get multiple laptops or some shi.

And hey man, you should tell people if you're going to post screaming/hardcore in here... this is glitchhopforum, not DEATHKILLSCREAMBLOODFORUM.COM. Was not expecting that.
